Things to do around Brookmans Park

With 2017 in full swing, many of us are ready for our next break away. But rather than dream of sunny breaks abroad in the summer holidays, why not visit places in your local town on an upcoming weekend? Many of us know there is so much to see in our local area but think to ourselves ‘I’ll get round to it another time’, but why not make it now? Life is all about the little things – even if it does get you that step closer to your summer holiday!

Things to do around Brookmans Park

For those who love the outdoors

Ashridge Estate –  take wander round these ancient trees, rolling chalk downlands and lush meadows.

For a bit of history

Hatfield House – visit the home of the 7th Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury and their family. See stunning examples of Jacobean craftsmanship throughout the house and a number of gardens and attractions to explore.

St Albans Cathedral – a stunning setting for the various events, tours and concerts taking place on a daily basis.

For the film buffs

Harry Potter World – immerse yourself in the magical world of Harry Potter. See the props and contraptions used on the film set, try some butter beer and even fly on a broomstick….

For the animal lovers

Raybrook Riding  – perfect for group or private riding lessons. Available for kids, adults, pros or beginners.

Willows Activity Farm – ideal for a carefree day out with all shows, fun fair rides, carousels, inflatables, Tractor Ride, acres of outdoor and under cover soft play activities plus entry to the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground included in the entry price.

All of the above can of course begin with a leisurely breakfast with us! Or break up the day with a lunchtime stop for a Sunday roast, with limitless roast potatoes. If you’d rather, end your day with a bottle of wine and a delicious meal – you’ll have certainly earned it!
